These beautiful icons are made of three natural materials: mastic (a natural gum/resin), beeswax and incense. The highly detailed forms used to produce the icons are hand-carved by monks on the Holy Mountain. The unique composition produces an icon that looks similar to a woodcarved piece and carries a wonderful fragrance from the incense used to create it.
